Big muscles are one thing, but to show a truly awesome physique you need to be able to shed the excess fat and adipose tissue so that the muscle stands out.

This means leaning out the body and packing muscle on at the same time.

Can this be done?

According to the ISSA guidelines, yes. By alternating calories in a zig zag manner, (ISSA Zig Zag Approach) and training with moderate to heavy weights you can lose fat and gain muscle.

Getting that ripped look means

 

  1. Reduce resting time between sets. This means 30 to 45 seconds. Or you can achieve the same effect by super settings your exercisesWith the multi system this is easy to do as you have three pre set stations to utilise at any one time.
  2.  Choose a weight for mass building. Increasing volume will lead to more muscle exhaustion and more compensation stimulus to make the muscle bigger and stronger.Aiming for a total rep range of 50 to 60 per exercise is a good average, with up to 4 exercises per body part. That means averaging 6 to 12 reps per set.
